Privacy notice

Draft, awaiting legal review. This text describes how KeyVanguard works today and will be finalised before we take payment.

The short version

We collect what we need to negotiate your car and nothing more. We don't sell it, we don't advertise with it, and dealers don't learn who you are from us.

What we collect

• Your email address, to create your account, sign you in and send you your report.
• Your intake answers: the car you want and your preferences, your budget, whether you're paying cash or financing, your ZIP code and search radius, your timeline, and any notes you add.
• Payment details, which are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
• Messages you send us, so we can reply.

How we use it

Only to run your search and negotiation, send you your report, answer your questions and keep your account working. When we contact dealers we share the vehicle specification and the general area, not your name or contact details.

Who processes it for us

• Supabase, which hosts our database and sign-in, in the United States.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
• Stripe, which processes payments.
• Our email provider, which delivers sign-in links and messages.

Each handles your data only to provide its service to us.

Cookies and browser storage

We don't use advertising or analytics trackers. Your browser stores your sign-in session and, if you start an intake before creating an account, a draft of your answers, so nothing is lost. Both stay on your device.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open, so you can see past searches and we can re-send a lost report. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your information, except anything we are required to keep by law (payment records, for example).

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing support@keyvanguard.com.

Children

The service is for adults buying a car. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this notice we'll update the date at the top. See also our terms of service.
